My goal for Borrow From None is to create a community where people can share their experiences, questions, and tips with each other.  This is done mainly in the form of comments at the end of each post. The more people that are involved and the more comments that are left increase the value of the site for everyone.  Please refer to the Comment Policy for information pertaining to the comments.

Remember, I am not a financial planner or a lawyer or a CPA and none of the information on this site should be construed as financial advice (that being said, you may get some more helpful opinions here than from the talking heads shouting at you from your TV, but that’s a topic for another post). You are responsible for your own financial decisions. If you are unsure about any decision, I’d recommend you contact a fee-only financial planner for further discussion (If you’re in the Richmond, VA area, I know of a good one to recommend to you).  For more information, refer to the Disclaimer .

Advertisements and Affiliates

To offset the cost of making this site available and the time involved in maintaining it , Borrow From None uses advertisements and affiliate links.

  • Advertisements – Borrow From None displays ad blocks that are sourced from Google Adsense.  Whenever an ad is clicked, a small amount of money is credited to my account.  If you see an ad that is seems interesting, feel free to click on it.  Please do not click on the ads just to support Borrow From None, however, as this is not fair to the advertiser who must pay Google whenever the ad is clicked.
  • Innapropriate Advertisements – The Google Adsense ads displayed on this site are not controlled by Borrow From None.  At the same time, there are some ads that are not appropriate for a personal finance site stressing Biblical principles, getting out of debt, living below your means, etc.  If you see an ad that you do not feel is appropriate, please send me an email.  I will investigate the ad and if I agree that it is inappropriate for Borrow From None, I will block the advertiser from advertising on this site.  Remember that differences of opinions do not constitute inappropriate ads.  Though I prefer index fund investing, it is not up to me to force you, the reader, to do the same.  Therefore, an advertisement for a site on which you can trade stocks would not be considered inappropriate.
  • Affiliate Links – Some links to outside sites are affiliate links. This means that when you click on this link to go to the target site, that site will track your activity (purchases, signing up for membership, etc) and provide a benefit to the referrer at no cost to the you.  The target site benefits from increased sales while the referrer is given compensation. They are meant as a means for users to contribute to the site by doing their normal internet shopping and usage. One good example of an affiliate is Amazon.com . If you click though to Amazon on that link, a small percentage any purchases in the next 24 hours will be donated to Borrow From None.  Another example is cashcrate.com .  If you click that link, Borrow From None will receive compensation based on how much money you earn.  At Amazon, the books will cost the same, and at cashcrate, it is still free to sign up.
