People who have to pay rent and buy food every month can't plop down $15K on a reliable used car. Oh, and people CAN people responsible with credit cards and pay them off every month. If you're not responsible with money, than even using a debit card is going to nail you with overdraft charges. Also, debit cards DO NOT have the same protections as credit cards.
