@William - Well, I pretty much have the same thoughts I did then, actually. I'm still not excited about it and am not happy with basically very few decisions he's made so far (I say "few" but I'd be hard-pressed to name any I am happy about off the top of my head though). I'm really hoping these midterm elections will reveal yet another shift in American politics. I think the real problem is that neither party is offering anything of real value to the country (I mean look at Obama: he got elected on literally the words "hope" and "change" and certainly nothing substantive other than not being George Bush). As a result we see these wild shifts back and forth because we're not happy with Party A, let's try Party B! Shoot, Party B is no better let's try Party A again! Overall, it's very frustrating.... How about you?

@THR - I hope that you're correct about him being a moderate president. And it is really cool you can show that to your boys. I don't really know much about Ron Paul - let me know how his book is.

I think he will be a more moderate president, just my gut feeling.

I will say that as a parent of two African-American children, I am proud that I can not only tell them they can be president, but I can also show them.

On a side note, I did get Ron Paul's book in the mail today. I expect it to be a great read.
